Trip Details
Day1: Transfer to Lake Mburo NP & Afternoon Game Drive
This morning transfer from your lodge/hotel in either in Kampala or Entebbe and take a drive to Lake Mburo National Park. This drive takes about 4 to 5 hours along Kampala-Mbarara road, reaching the park will check-in at your lodge relax and after lunch. Then in the afternoon hours will take an afternoon game drive through the savannah woodlands watching and sighting several parks’ rewards among which include; zebras, giraffes, impalas, deer, duikers, baboons, warthogs, hyenas, chance of seeing leopards among others. The game drive can last for about 2 to 3 hours and will drive to your lodge and relax for the next day.

Day2: Boat Cruise, Afternoon Horse Ride, Night Game Drive
The second day starts with breakfast, and head for a boat lunch on Lake Mburo which is the largest within the chains of lakes of the park. The boat cruise starts from Rwonnyo jetty where the earliest one starts at 8:00am and done for about 2 hours sailing besides schools of hippos, crocodiles, as buffalos, zebras, waterbuck and many others are seen at the lake shores. Afterwards, in 2 hours the boat is ended and relax waiting for lunch in the evening take the horseback ride. The experience is beautiful, cool and none polluting way to explore wildlife, the experience is arranged by Mihingo lodge with expertise instructors.
After have to relax, and as the day fades off, will consider a night game drive on brighter touches. Night game drives are common at Lake Mburo filled with chances of watching a lot of nocturnal, and even having a chance to find the predators mainly leopards actively hunting among other encounters.

Enjoy a picnic breakfast, and then a relaxed morning nature walk through various walking tracks guided by experienced park rangers. Because the park has no elephants, it’s great advantage of seeing what you could have seen on any game drive except.
